So God...

So God looked out at His garden and His people and His animals, and was satisfied that it was good. His creation. His people! He loved them and enjoyed spending time with them.
Genesis 3:8 ESV

And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
So God's perfection ruled until the day His enemy snuck into the garden and corrupted it's beauty. He lied to God's children who knew only goodness and beauty and truth, and took them away from their Father/Creator.
Genesis 3:15 ESV

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.
So God looked out over the garden and His earth and saw that it had been horribly messed up. He planned from that moment to fix it, to clean up the mess and restore the beauty of His creation. It would take some time, but eventually the children would have more children and One would be born who would crush the authority of His enemy and restore the children to the place He meant for them to have.

So God, wanting His kids back safe with Him, set His plan into motion. None of His children were able to do it. None was worthy of setting perfection back into place. He would do it Himself.
Revelation 5:9-10 ESV

And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God[wash my mouth]from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.
So God, just as He sent Satan hurling to the earth, sent Himself to the earth. Not to destroy the earth or His dearly loved children, but to destroy the work of His enemy, who had made such a mess of things.
Luke 10:18-19 ESV

And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
So God, loving to be with His children, longing to touch them again, looking forward to gathering us in His arms and holding us safe, died.
John 12:23-24 ESV

And Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
So God, at the right time, became fruitful, no longer remaining alone, but multiplying Himself and His fruit -- us, His adored children.

So God planted Himself in the earth and the Seed grew into an abundant harvest of righteousness, as we grew into His likeness, after His own image as He originally created us.
Phillippians 3:8-10 ESV

... For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith-- that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death...
So God planted Himself and made it possible for us to become like Him through faith in His Seed, and faith in His Word.

Luke 8:11 ESV

This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.

1 Corinthians 15:36-38 ESV

... What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.

So God gave Himself up to restore us to Him, gave us Seed/Word to sow, and feeds us with His very nature and Spirit.

John 6:33 ESV

For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and
gives life to the world.

John 6:35 ESV

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

John 6:51 ESV

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.

So God fell from heaven into the earth and died so that many might live. And now He waits for us to come back to Him, to trust Him, to again walk by faith.

Like we used to, in the garden...
